Quality Non stick Cookware for All Your Cooking Needs

by pots and pans on January 23, 2010

When choosing quality non stick cooking products out there, nothing beats actually trying non stick cookware for yourself in your own kitchens or trusting the cookware reviews in lifestyle and cooking magazines as well as websites.  Some sets of non stick cookware are more expensive than others.  Non stick cookware is very useful in the kitchen, and they are durable.  You only have to hand-wash non stick cookware in order to clean them after cooking.  When you cook with non stick cookware, be sure not to use too high a cooking temperature.

Non stick cookware is very easy to wash and clean.  Also, non stick cookware does not require so much oil or butter in order to coat the bottom when cooking your favorite dishes.  This makes cooking for your family and friends a lot healthier and safer, another plus when using non stick cookware.  One good brand for nonstick cookware is All-Clad. However, it is quite pricey.  According to Good Housekeeping, some of the top brands for non stick cookware are Circulon, Farberware, as well as the previously mentioned All-Clad.  Another good brand when choosing your set of non stick cookware is Calphalon, however, it comes with a hefty price tag as well.  Amazon.com offer sets of non stick cookware from T-Fal for as low as $60, however, prices for other brands of non stick cookware go for around $150 to $200.

Famous celebrity chefs have also come up with their own line of non stick cookware.  An example is TV celebrity and Chef Rachel Ray.  She sells a 10-piece non stick cookware set that is a bestseller on Amazon.com.

In terms of popularity, All-Clad has the most popular non stick and stainless steel cooking products.  A 15-piece non stick cookware set, however, sells for $1300.  If this is too expensive, buy individual pieces. There are other options out there and more affordable non stick cookware available online such as on Amazon.com.

It’s no secret around my house, family and friends that I love to cook. When it comes to food, I can count on the fingers of my left hand the food items that I don’t like. This leaves me with a large selection of food items to cook.

For the longest time I lived with a kitchen that I thought was well organized. Little did I know that I was living in a kitchen with room for improvement. For a quite some time (a few years), I was doing something in my kitchen that I wasn’t aware of.

You know the story. Every time you go to cook something on the stove, you have to do the deep bends. Not only that, but there was also the rearranging duty involved in picking out the perfect size pots or pans to cook whatever you had in mind at the time. That’s right. You are guilty of pans in the lower kitchen cabinets! This problem exists in the kitchens of homes all over the world.

Not only is this bad for your lower back, to bend down into a cabinet every time you need a pot or pan, with all the stacking and unstacking of your pots and pans, your pots and pans are prone to unwanted wear and tear by scratching each other during the removal and the replacement into your lower kitchen cabinet. This is especially harmful to the non-stick surfaces on many pots and pans sold today.

I’m here to tell you that there is a solution to that back breaking bending over in your kitchen every time you need a pot or pan. I’m here to tell you that there is a solution to the wear and tear of stacking your pots and pans in a lower kitchen cabinet. I’m here to tell you that there is a solution to this pot/pan storage problem. My friends, I’m here to tell you…

There are 3 little words that will save your back and your pots and pans. Those 3 little words are Wall Pot Rack. I know, I know, you’re saying to yourself, “If I only thought about it years ago I wouldn’t have the lower back problems I have today. If I only thought about it years ago I would have saved on all the wear and tear my pots and pans of the past went through and it really wasn’t necessary.”

It’s not too late to correct your kitchen’s pots and pans storage problems today. All you have to do is pick out the Wall Pot Rack that is the perfect match for your pots and pans and your kitchen’s decor. Maybe you haven’t been storing your pots and pans correctly all these years, but starting today you will find the best wall pot rack for your needs.

I would like to start out by saying that the best choice of wall pot rack style for your kitchen is a good combination of the decorating theme of your kitchen along with the color scheme of your pot and pans. Are your appliances white, black or stainless steel?

For older kitchens, you appliances may be green, yellow or some other color. What type of kitchen furniture do you have? Is your kitchen set wood, metal or PVC? Do you have wood stained kitchen cabinets or are your cabinets painted in a solid color? Now when it comes to your pots and pans, are they black, silver colored metal or copper? All of these colors will be the deciding factor for the color of your wall pot rack.

The standard colors for wall pot racks are copper, stainless steel, brass, wood (in various stains), custom (order special color), black, chrome, pewter, metallic/graphite, bronze, red, green and blue. Take a good look around your kitchen. Notice all the colors in the room. Now decide what color wall pot rack would be the best color for your kitchen.

Next take a look at the style of your kitchen. Wall pot racks styles are Modern, Traditional, Ornate, Contemporary and Novelty. Only you know what style or combination of styles you kitchen is decorated. Go with a wall pot rack that will match the style of your kitchen.

Now it is time to decide what shape you would like your wall pot rack to be. Here your choices are rectangular/square, oval, straight bar, half round, corner, shelf and unique. The shape is all a matter of your personal taste. Explore all the shapes and go with your gut feeling. You will come up with a winner!

The materials for making your wall pot rack are wrought iron, stainless steel, copper, wood, brass, steel and various other metals. If you are going to go with a painted wall pot rack, then go with a less expensive material. Otherwise your choices are wide open.

Next you will want to know about features for your wall pot rack. There are only two features to choose from. These features are decorative and bookshelf. I’m sure that you already know that decorative means that more decoration has been put into the construction of the wall pot rack. As for bookshelf, this means that a bookshelf has been built into the wall pot rack so you may put cookbooks or spices that you more commonly use, for easier access. The bookshelf is a convenient option to have.

The last but not least important factor in buying the best wall pot rack for your needs is size. Wall pot racks are measured by width and depth. Here you have to weigh in 3 factors before determining what size wall pot rack is right for your kitchen. First you will have to know how many pots, pans and utensils you will be hanging on the rack. Second you will have to know how wide an area of wall you can dedicate to the wall pot rack. Measure the space on the wall to see how much room you will have for the pot rack. Finally you will have to know how far out from the wall you would like your pot rack to be. This can be determined by the size of your kitchen and weather or not a wall pot rack will be in the way if the depth of the rack is too deep. You should know this at a glance.

There are standard widths and depths for wall pot racks. You can also have a wall pot rack made to any size you desire if you are willing to pay the price.

Your kitchen is unique to you. You have decorated your kitchen in a manner that makes you comfortable. Now you can add a lot of convenience and style with the addition of a wall pot rack.

Pots and pans are the salt and pepper of every kitchen, and it is often difficult to actually make up one’s mind about what type of items to purchase for the matter. Certain items of cookware can easily substitute some others, without actually spoiling the effect of the task one intends to perform. Available in a variety of sizes, models and materials, pots and pans are often selected according to the type of cooking you will be doing most of the time. The first step when trying to equip a new kitchen is to set a budge for pots and pans. How much can you spend on these items?

Then, give an answer to the following questions to see what kind of investment you should make in pots and pans. What are your cooking habits like? How much do you actually cook? And here think in days per week to give yourself the best answer. Then, on a regular basis, do you eat more at home or out? Will you be cooking for family and friends? Do you prepare complex dishes or simply make meals from scratch? Each of these questions should point toward taking the right decision about the pots and pans your kitchen will truly need.

If you are a great fan of some exotic cuisine and you take a lot of interest in cooking specialties from other cultures, then you should know that certain dishes require adequate pots and pans. This is the case with Chinese food; if you want to cook anything traditionally Chinese you’ll most surely need a wok for instance. Pasta may also require special pots and pans, unlike soup, stews and fries. Furthermore, the materials the cookware is made of could have a great word in the matter since understanding such differences will influence your choice of the perfect items you need in the kitchen.

Aluminum pots and pans are some of the most common you’ll find, not to mention that they are pretty inexpensive, very light and easy to clean. Due to the great heat properties of this metal, aluminum makes the perfect environment for frying and sautéing since food gets to the proper temperature in no time. Sometimes, you can purchase pots and pans that are made of aluminum but they have an additional stainless steel coating that prevents possible interactions between this malleable metal and certain types of food. Acid and alkaline dishes for instance cannot be cooked in aluminum pots and pans because of the metal corrosion they trigger together with the change in the food taste.
