Revere Copper Bottom Teakettle

Revere 3–1/2-Quart Copper Bottom Tea Kettle. One of the first names in tea kettles, Revere offers a range of high-quality polished stainless steel models with copper bottoms for fast heating. Traditionally styled, the kettles feature easy-grip, black phenolic handles, whistling spouts and trigger mechanism for easy and safe pouring. Each of the kettles is embossed with Paul Revere’s signature.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars IRevere 2 1/3 Quart Whistling Kettle
I looked all over for this tea kettle. I let my other one go dry and burned the whistle off. I like that it is durable and not ornate. Copper bottom makes it heat fast.

5 Stars Works Great
Even though the manufacture says to empty water out of the pot after use, which is inconvenient, it works great and the copper bottom conducts heat rapidly.

3 Stars Not the best.…
I have had this kettle for less than 1 year (about 4–5 months less). It boils water and whistles as expected but the quality is less than perfect. The flap that opens to let you pour the water has always felt less than secure. This morning, I noticed that one of the pins holding the flap in place is coming out. I tried to push it back in with no luck. So, it boils water but does not stand up to regular use!!

2 Stars Cheap Inferior Chinese Version
6 Cup Teakettle Revere 6-Cup Whistling Tea Kettle

Yes. It says Revere. The bottom is stamped “CHINA.”

For years I had a 6 cup Revere teakettle. It was and is a good, substantial kettle with a nice loud whistle. When you depress the button just so, the spout stays open. This makes the kettle easy to use. A friend admired it and so I left the kettle behind when I moved from NY to Florida.

This inferior Chinese version has an softer, weaker whistle and the button must be held down to pour. I cannot be certain, but the kettle feels lighter. Thinner materials? Even the embossed “Paul Revere” seems fainter — perhaps from shame?

This is yet another example of a very good product now being made where design, engineering, and true quality are unknown.

I would return this if I could find a more substantial product, regardless of the price.

The product description should clearly state the country of origin, CHINA.

I cannot recommend this to anyone. I will he checking ebay, garage sales, and flea markets for the REAL Revere teakettle.

2 Stars Cute, but terrible in function
I bought this at a local hardware store for $10 with a 50% off coupon. I’d be pretty angry if I had paid full price.

It is quite cute and looks good on my stove top. But that’s as far as it goes.

1. Filling it up is difficult, as the actual spout is the only opening.

2. If filled almost to capacity, the whistle will not work and boiling water will erupt from the spout instead.

3. The handle is short and smooth/slippery, and EXTREMELY hot! A pot holder must be used when pouring… hopefully one that will not allow the handle to slip out! And you need to push the “open” button at the same time.

4. The actual spout is short and on top of the tea kettle. Think about it. This kettle practically needs to be turned upside down to pour, and hot water still dribbles down the front because the spout is ridiculously short and upright.

5. Cleaning the interior is impossible due to the spout being the only opening.

I really wanted to like this tea kettle. It’s so cute. But it’s probably the least functional tea kettle I’ve ever encountered. In all, I should probably rate it at 0 stars, but I rate it 2 stars for just being cute.

I would not recommend this product to anyone. There are many other cute tea kettles that work better.
